Shibuya Crossing

Shibuya scrambled intersection is one of the most famous intersections. At some events such as the Soccer World Cup and Halloween, you can enjoy the dynamic vision from the six large outdoor screens, and sometimes they have some parades and festivals. Like Times Square in New York, it is famous for one of the locations of commercials, movies, TV dramas, and so on.


Hachiko Statue

In front of JR Shibuya Station, you can find a famous meeting spot, Hachiko Statue. Every visitor can find it easily. Long time ago, a dog named Hachi was waiting for his master’s return for 10 years without knowing his master’s death. So, they built the statue admiring Hachi. The story was posted on the newspaper and has touched many people’s heart. Now, Hachiko Statue is one of symbols of Shibuya.


Shibuya Shopping Street

Starting from JR Shibuya Station and Hachiko Statue, Shibuya Shopping Street is one of the main streets in Shibuya. There are a lot of shops, including fast food shops, clothes shops, and record shops. They open new shops from time to time, so you can enjoy finding them whenever you visit Shibuya. Mazesoba shichi

Located three minutes’ walk from Shibuya Station, Mazesoba (Noodle without soup) at “Mazesoba shichi” is is so delicious and you can choose the amount of the noodle (same price). Especially, the roasted pork fillet there is awesome. Moreover, they have many kinds topping such as half-boiled eggs, chopped onions, powdered cheese, and so on. Of course, you can take your chindren, too. Both adults and children can enjoy Mazesoba there. I’m sure you want to visit there again!

Yoyogi Park (Yoyogi koen)

Yoyogi Park (Yoyogi koen) is a huge park located in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Though the park is in the middle of a big city, Tokyo Yoyogi Park surrounded by green, is very popular as a place of relaxation for the people in Tokyo. Also, many kinds of events and flea markets are held every weekend. They have the rental bicycles service ( tandem bicycle, too), so you can enjoy cycling in the park. In winter, the illumination event “Blue Grotto in Shibuya” ( 800m long illumination ) is amaging.

“Shibuya CAST” is a 16-story ( in addition to 2-story basement) complex facility built in 2017. The building includes shops, restaurants, offices, and residential rooms. “CAST” in “Shibuya CAST” means the people who live in and visit there. They are aiming that “Shibuya CAST” becomes a bridge between the creaters gathering in Shibuya and the town. If “CASTs” gather there, it will stimulate the creaters’s motivation and lead to new ideas. At the square in front of the building, you can enjoy some events and the foods from the food stalls.
