Shojinsuwa Shrine

Shoji Suwa Shrine is located at the north side of Lake Shoji. It is known as a local guardian deity of Shoji area. The main hall was reconstructed in 1843. Its intricate carvings and skillful techniques are outstanding.
A part of roof called “Ooiya” protects mail hall and it was constructed in 1906. On its cell, the picture of playing with “Hyaku nin Ishu” or “a traditional playing game of the one hundred poems written by one hundred poets” is drawn.
