Being nominated as one of ‘the top 50 picturesque spots in Kanagawa’, Chigogafuchi Marine Plateau is famous for its beautiful scenery looking over Mt. Fuji together with Izu Oshima Island and Izu Peninsula. Especially, only lucky ones can come across the sun set below Mt. Fuji which is definitely breathtaking. Visitors may feel the vitality of the sea, looking at waves breaking on the rocky shore. If you enjoy fishing, you may join the ‘Taikobos (anglers in Japanese)’ lots there, as it is a popular rock-fishing place. This abrasion platform is located at the innermost of the southwest of Enoshima and is a good distance for those who enjoy walking, stopping by the Enoshima Jingu Shrine and the Enoshima Iwaya Caves. If you prefer a direct connection, a sightseeing boat called ‘Benten-maru’ is available between Chigogafuchi Marine Plateau and Enoshima Bentenbashi Bridge.
