Inamuragasaki is a cape located at the south west of Kamakura, which is between Yuigahama and Shichirigahama. Now it is maintenanced as a park, and you can see the view of Izu Oshima Island or Izu Peninsula or even Mt.Fuji from the observatory facing the coastline if it is sunny.
The sunset view of Enoshima and Mt.Fuji is said to be most beautiful around Shonan area. What’s more, you can enjoy swimming in Shichirigahama, try hot spring or have a meal with lovely landscape. This area is a good place to enjoy beach leisure.

1. Spot Ranking in Inamuragasaki – Shichirigahama area
Shichiko-dori is a sloping path between Shichirigahama high school and Kamakura Prince Hotel, and known as a stunning ocean view spot of Shichirigahama. There is Enoden running at the bottom of this sloping path. It is also called “Bijin-zaka” (beauty sloping path) because the ocean view when you look back in the path is so beautiful.
This area is often used for shooting TV drama or music video and also choosen as a backdrop of famous anime. When you walk up to this long path and hear a sound of railroad crossing alarm, please stop and look back. You will see the view of shimmering Sagami Bay over the Enoden, which is so dramatic.
To get to Shichiko-dori: from Shichirigahama station (Enoshima Electric Railway), walk towards Kamakura direction along with the coast, and you will find a railroad crossing. Shichiko-dori is the long sloping path starting from this railroad crossing.
4th. Inamuragasaki Hot Spring
Inamuragasaki hot spiring is where you can enjoy the hot spring watching the ocean. This place is located very close to the coastline, so you can see both ocean and Mt.Fuji. The bathroom has full ocean view, so that you can see the ocean right in front of you. This hot spring is built to be very open to enojoy the outside view from Every bathroom regardless inside or outside, so you can enjoy it in a relaxed way.
The best timing is sunset when the ocean with sunset glow makes it look more beautiful.
This is an unique natural hot spring called “Mall Fountain” containing pine tree organic ingredients with high bactericidal effect, which has long been spreading and has become a source of hot spring. The color of this hot spring is black brownish gold, and called “the golden bath”. It is also moisture-rich, and well known as skin beautiful bath.
There is a long-established western food restaurant named “Main” , who has started since 1968, in this Inamuragasaki Hot Spring. You can enjoy the meal watching the Enoshima, Mt.Fuji, or the sunset over the coastline. Both hot spring and restaurant is very popular, and especially there will be a big line on weekends, so we recommend you to visit earlier.
Please take note that a person under 18 years old is not allowed to enter in this building. It is open from 9:00-21:00(last enter: 20:00), 7 days a week. For taking a bath costs 1500 yen, rental towel costs 500 yen, also they have towels for sale. The parking fee will be free for 2 hours if you take a bath.
To get Inamuragasaki Hot Spring: from Inamuragasaki station (Enoshima Electric Railway), walk along side the ocean for 3 minutes.
3rd Amalfi DELLA SERA
Amalfi DELLA SERA is a Pizzeria with a lovely landscape as you need to across the railroad crossing then walk up to a long stairs. The Sagami Bay is just like Costiera Amalfitana in Italy, and you can enjoy the Italian dishes watching the Miura Peninsula, Izu Peninsula, Izu-Oshima Island, or Mt.Fuji. As they have the seats outside, we recommend you to visit at sunset or evening.
One of the the popular menu at this restaurant is the pizza using the mozzarella cheese sent directly from Campania, Italy. In addition, the Japanese-style pizza using the local Kamaage-Shirasu (whitebait simply scaled), fresh seafood pasta or sweets are also popular. Since this restaurant is very popular, we recommend you to make a reservation for both lunch and dinner unless you are okay to wait in a big line.
It is open from 11:00-21:00(close at 22:00, depending on a season), 7 days a week. For Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 10:30-21:00(close at 22:00).
To get Amalfi DELLA SERA: from Shichirigahama station (Enoshima Electric Railway), walk for 5 minutes. 1st floor is a sister restaurant named “Amarfi” , and there is a stairs at the back leading up to 2nd floor Amalfi DELLA SERA.
Inamuragasaki is a cliff protruding at the south west of Yuigahama. This place is used to be a famous battlefield, and also known for the breakthrough to Kamakura when Nitta Yoshisada attacked Kamakura in May, 1333. Yoshisada led 60,000 troopers and attacked Kamakura alongside of the quay in Inamuragasaki. This is how Kamakura period ends, which continued for 150 years starting from Minamotono Yoritomo.
This area is known as the fresh and clear air, and there used to be a tuberculosis sanatorium. So now there is a statue of Dr. Robert Koch, a famous German doctor who found tubercle bacillus / Vibrio cholerae.
There is a Kamakura-Kaihin Park and Inamuragasaki Park on the platform at the west side of cape. The view from the hill facing the ocean is beautiful and peaceful, and you can be very relaxed surrounded by a lot of trees. You can see the Mt.Fuji and Enoshima at the same time from this spot, and it is choosen as best 100 Fujimi views.

1st Shichirigahama Beach
Shichirigahama beach is about 3 kilometers of sandy beach between Inamuragasaki and Koyurugi Cape, and chosen as “100 selections of Japanese Nagisa”. The view of Mt.Fuji, Enoshima, and Miura Peninsula altogether is very beautiful, and you can also see the lovely sunset view.
Since this is not a shallow beach but have big waves, so suitable for surfing not for the swimming. Moreover, there are restaurants such as Italian, pancake, or curry and nice shops around, which makes here more popular.
To get Shichirigahama Beach: from Shichirigahama station (Enoshima Electric Railway), walk for 1 minute. There is a parking lot (Shichirigahama Parking lot).

From JR Kamakura station, 5 stops away by Enoshima Electric Railway(Enoden). It will take 11 minutes and costs 220 yen.
