1. Yokohama : Modern and beautiful scene place
Yokohama is a famous large scale city with a population of 3,740,000 people. It has good logistics and is famous for it’s sightseeing. Japan had been keeping up its isolationist policies for a long period of time when Commodore Matthew Perry and his ships came in the 1800s and opened up the ports.
At that time, the port city of Yokohama started experiencing an influx of European and American culture much earlier than the inner areas of Japan. It was a symbol of Open-Japan or Newborn-Japan and ushered in the birth of high quality cultural exchange. In modern Yokohama you can understand the port-opening era through the museums and brick-made buildings that are still leftover today.

3. Nikko : Toshogu and Nature
Nikkō Tōshō-gū represents Nikkō. In 1617, Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate ordered to built this Tōshō-gū Shinto shrine. Now, it is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its gorgeous building impresses all the visitors. After visiting this shrine, visitors shall try out yuba, (bean curd skin) it is the signature food of Nikkō. There are many other sightseeing spots in this area: Kegon Falls, Lake Chūzenji, Senjōgahara and Yuno Lake. By riding the Akechidaira Ropeway, visitors are able to enjoy the breathtaking view of Nikkō. During the autumn season which is also the time of change of leaves colour, it is also recommended to drive around this area.
4. Yamanashi : Mt. Fuji and Fuji five lakes
Fujigoko; the five lakes of Motosuko, Shojiko, Saiko, Kawaguchiko and Yamanako which are located beside the foot of Mount Fuji between Mount Misaka in Yamanashi prefecture.
These lakes were formed after the eruption. It was designated as a national scenic beauty on September 21, 2011 and all five lakes were registered as a World Heritage Site(13th place to be registered in Japan) on June 22, 2013 for being one of the sacred place and source of artistic inspiration.They hold sakura festival, herb festival, autumn leaves festival and Winter firework festival in each place associated with the season.
5. Nagano : Beautiful nature and Shrine
Nagano prefecture is located at the center of main island of Japan. Most of the area are occupied with North Alps, Central Alps, and South Alps forming a line, so there are less flatland, which is one the features of Nagano prefecture. So you can enjoy watching the amazing view of Kamikochi or Azumino area where there are mountains and highlands, and Yashima swamp. The beautiful nature landscape and plants will catch your eyes.
Not only nature but also there are many historical buildings in Nagano. Matsumoto Castle is one of them. Besides that, there shrines and temples with long history such as Suwa Taisha Shrine, Zenko-ji Temple, or Togakushi Shrine, and they have seasonal events.
